Former CA Superintendent of Public Instruction Delaine Eastin Backs Abigail Medina’s bid for AD40
SAN BERNARDINO, CA-- Continuing her salvo of back-to-back endorsements, San Bernardino School Board Member Abigail Medina was endorsed for State Assembly District 40 today by former California Superintendent of Public Instruction Delaine Eastin. Eastin, also a former Assemblywoman and professor, served eight years as the state’s education chief from 1995-2003.
In a statement announcing the endorsement, former State Superintendent of Public Instruction Delaine Eastin said:
“I am excited to endorse Abigail Medina for Assembly because I know she will fight tirelessly for students and working families throughout California. Her extensive background in education and her strength of character will make her a powerful advocate for all children, from preschool to grad school."
Beyond today's endorsement announcement, Medina has recently collected endorsements from Governor Jerry Brown, Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom, Attorney General Kamala Harris and Secretary of State Alex Padilla.
