Inland Valley Democratic Club Unanimously Endorses San Bernardino School Board Member for AD-40
SAN BERNARDINO, CA— Following a milestone endorsement from Assembly Speaker Toni Atkins last week, today San Bernardino City Unified School Board Member Abigail Medina won the sought-after grassroots support of the Inland Valley Democratic Club as she campaigns to represent California’s 40th Assembly District.
Responding to news of the endorsement, San Bernardino City Unified School Board Member Abigail Medina remarked:
“It’s really gratifying to have such a wide breadth of support from grassroots activists and Democratic Party leaders from throughout the 40th Assembly District. The Inland Valley Democratic Club’s members will no doubt play a key role in my ground operation, helping to get my message out to voters at the doors, on the phones and at community events. It’s a real privilege to have them on my team.”
Today’s announcement follows news that recently at the “Pre-Convention Caucus" endorsement vote among California Democratic Party delegates, Medina won 25 votes out of a total of 27 possible votes, bringing her to 93%, and therefore surpassing the required 70% needed to earn the delegates' formal recommendation for the state Party’s endorsement at convention.
