Provisional and Late Absentee Ballots Push us into Lead by 137 Votes
SAN BERNARDINO, CA -- According to new results released by the Elections Office of the Registrar of Voters in San Bernardino, San Bernardino School Board Member Abigail Medina has taken the lead in provisional and late absentee ballots over incumbent State Assemblyman Marc Steinorth in the race for California's 40th Assembly District.
The latest unofficial election results vote totals according to the Elections Office of the Registrar of Voters in San Bernardino are:
32,972 votes for Abigail Medina
32,835 votes for Marc Steinorth
San Bernardino School Board Member Abigail Medina released the following statement:
"While there may still be more outstanding ballots to count, I'm extraordinarily pleased with our performance at the ballot box. It's proof that our campaign and our message of change, of social and economic justice, investments in neighborhood schools, protections for our air and water, addressing income inequality and pay equity issues, and so much more, has clearly resonated throughout the 40th Assembly District.
