California Bicycle Coalition Backs San Bernardino School Board Member Abigail Medina in AD-40 Bid
SAN BERNARDINO, CA— Continuing to hit the pavement hard on the campaign trail, today San Bernardino City Unified School Board Member Abigail Medina earned an endorsement from the California Bicycle Coalition in her bid to represent California's 40th Assembly District seat. Founded in 1994, the CA Bicycle Coalition works with legislators to make our streets safer for bikers and to encourage cycling as an alternative mode of transportation.
In a letter to the campaign announcing the endorsement, Dave Snyder Executive Director of the California Bicycle Coalition wrote:
“I am glad to write you with the news that the California Bicycle Coalition has endorsed your candidacy for the California State Assembly.
“Your record and your commitment as indicated by the answers to our questionnaire make you the best candidate for those of us who want the health, safety, and prosperity that bicycling can bring to ourselves, our families, and our communities.”
Upon earning the CA Bicycle Coalition endorsement, San Bernardino City Unified Board Member Abigail Medina issued the following statement:
“I am honored to have the support of the CA Bicycle Coalition. As a mother of children who love biking and participate in triathlons, I know the importance of bicycle safety and the need for adequate infrastructure. In the Assembly, I look forward to partnering with the CA Bicycle Coalition to make our communities more bike-friendly in order to encourage alternative transportation as well as healthy living.”
