Lands Sought-After Endorsement; Becomes Official Choice of State Democratic Party
SAN BERNARDINO, CA— Scoring her most influential and powerful endorsement yet, yesterday at the California Democratic Party state convention, San Bernardino City Unified School Board Member Abigail Medina picked up the official support of the California Democratic Party as she seeks to represent the 40th District in the State Assembly.
San Bernardino School Board Member Abigail Medina was overjoyed after learning of the endorsement, remarking:
“I consider it a real privilege and an honor to have the official endorsement of the California Democratic Party. As someone who cares deeply about bringing a progressive and compassionate voice to Sacramento on behalf of the 40th Assembly District, this endorsement validates our campaign and that the activists and grassroots believe we’re the best choice to represent the Democratic Party in this race."
Medina added, "From fighting to reduce income inequality, improving local neighborhood schools, raising the minimum wage, creating more good paying jobs, keeping our environment safe and clean to curbing gun and gang violence and so much more, I’m running for Assembly to move our region forward and to take down the barriers that hold people back. I’m so excited to be the officially endorsed candidate of the Democratic Party and to carry the Party’s banner with me in the weeks and months ahead.”
Significantly, today’s endorsement follows news that the Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO of San Bernardino & Riverside Counties, Community Action Fund of Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties and the California Teachers Association all endorsed Medina for Assembly.
